The Mark of Athena

The third book in the Heroes of Olympus. After one year of waiting, finally it was released. :)
I finished reading it last Wednesday, and it was probably the longest time it took me to be able to read a Percy Jackson book. I bought it on Sunday, thus proving that it took me 5 days to read it. 5 FREAKIN LONG DAYS. Ok for some, they might be thinking "I even try my best to not read more than 2 pages a day!" Well, I'm just gonna say that we are not the same. As much as I don't want to finish reading it, I also need to finish reading it cause it distracts me from my studies. Plus those cliffhangers (not just at the end of the book but also when you stop/pause to read in the middle of the story) create extra daydreaming moments--something that I really wish to avoid especially when our midterms are coming.

Anyway, so much for that. what can I say about this book? AS USUAL, IT'S AWESOME. I think it's kinda cool how Annabeth was somewhat like the focus in this book because in the other books, she was usually treated as the "sidekick"--(but not really...you do get what I mean right? it's like she's just the second main character) or just being Percy's girlfriend. But here, let's just say that it was her time to shine. :)







I am not the kind of girl who gives out spoilers. And I do not intend to give out any...but I would just like to share some of my favorite pages of the book (since i didn't get the chance to be able to note all of them).
Ok, so i took the liberty of taking pictures of parts of the book. :) 

We haven't had classes for almost a week. To think that our finals will be by the end of the month. -_- The rain is not funny anymore, seriously. It's flooding in every inch of Manila!

Notebook Art

It seems kinda...wrong? That I'm posting this just now, but the truth is I miss doing random doodles in my notebook -_- cause right now, in college, it's kinda hard to doodle while the professor is doing a lecture, knowing that you are just seated on the second row.

Anyway, here are pictures of my doodles while I was in my 4th year in high school.
Note that I wasn't doing this during class, I was doing most of this during our ONE WEEK CAREER SEMINAR. The rest...meh...whenever :-)

Actually, the cat here wasn't meant to be a cat. I was practicing how to draw eyes and, well, out of nowhere I decided to  add some not so really cat features. But in the end it still looked like a cat -_-

This was really random and I am so proud of it. :)

This was the last drawing I did before the one week seminar ended. I was practicing the shading with the pen thing, but it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to.

If you look at this in detail, it would be so much more interesting.Haha. I was doing this while there was this man talking about the course of architecture, since I was not interested I doodled. Not sure why I wrote "fine arts" though. Haha. I credit Bon Corachea for the slide idea. :)

Actually, i doodled this at home. There was, in my hand, 3 newly bought gel pens, and I wanted to use them so badly in whatever way, so I drew this by accident.

Huhuhuhu....:( I miss Jara because of this. I only wrote the "room 100" and "room 101" part. The "roomarampa" part was written by her...during, I think our English class when we weren't doing anything because we were supposed to making our research paper...I don't know...can't recall anymore -_-

I have some doodles in my college notebook too (wow college notebook), but they're way too embarrasing to post. so, mehehehehe :-)
If I find more matinong drawings, I will post. haha :-)

Hellooooo COLLEGE LIFE.

So, I've already said this on my other post, but let me say it again:
I am now officially in college.
And you know what? it's so damn tiring and frustrating and so expensive. Really. My week's allowance is not even enough for 3 days. -_- I am so screwed...
Well, anyway, since my busy, tiring, late at home college life has started, I shall then also start posting monthly. I mean, I will blog per month (This does not count).
So then, I will wait for June to end  :))

La Salle enrollment day / Bought ate Charmaine's ticket / A whole day with kuya Neil / Stayed in Manila for one whole day /  Went to Taft for the first time / Got inside the La Salle building for the first time / Did a lot of walking and it was tiring

Watched Playful Kiss with ate Charmaine /  Tried to finish the whole series in two days (which we successfully achieved) / Rest days

Akagami no Shirayukihime

Actually, I would just like to share this picture because the first time I saw it, it gave me goosebumps.  =))

This is from the manga Akagami no Shirayukihime. Sorry, but I don't like giving reviews or synopsis or summaries because for me, those will just spoil the story itself. This is the first manga that I seriously fell in love with (even if it's still ongoing). I started reading this when I was still in the 6th grade (I think) and now I'm entering college and it's still not yet finished (which is fine by me since I'm not yet ready to let go of this manga  =))   ).

I got this picture from the internet. A lot of pictures like this are out there...plus it's impossible for me to make something like this, so no credits to me.

Getting myself in love all over again...

During the summer before I would enter high school, was the first time i ever got addicted to watching anime. And the reason for that is the very first anime that I fell in love with, The Prince of Tennis. What is not to love about that anime? I mean, really... ok, let me share this, when I watched the last episode (episode 178 i think), I was literally left speechless. I was sad because my nightly tv habits were finally going to end, I was disappointed because they didn't air the OVA (which was actually the continuation of the series), and it was just so amazing, I guess.

Then, now (the summer before I would enter college) I finally get to watch all of the Prince of Tennis OVAs! plus, there's even a REAL second Prince of Tennis! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok...I"m sorry. I just love it so much.  :-))

^ and this is the face that made me a fan of this anime. Sooooooo kawaii :"))

 Anyway, another reason why I'm getting myself in love all over again is manga. Actually, there is one manga in particular that I really really really really want to blog about, so therefore I shall make a separate blog for it since it really is special to me (Ok, so dramatic). 

And also, all of the ongoing mangas that I am reading have lots of chapter updates since I last read them (since I had to stop reading for some time because of school work), and the all the wait was so worth it (even if the manga is not completed yet), because the story gets better and better (I don't know why other people post about, I'm gonna stop reading this manga because it's getting boring, whereas for me the story only gets better). Like one of the mangas I'm reading, Watashi ni xx shinasai. For me, in my opinion, the story only got better. I'm not telling a synopsis or a summary because it's gonna be a real spoiler! And TRUST ME, reading it without any spoilers is much much better (you'll get more "kilig"). So just read it! :-))

And don't think that just because there's "xx" in the title, the manga is considered mature. I'm telling you, it's not, there may be some kissing from time to time, but it's not something I think you should consider mature, since it's not really that intimate.

Really. There are just SWEET. wahahahaha!! :)) ok.

The Nights of Silver Belle 2: Graduation Ball

So yeah, I gave myself the title Silver Belle. Mostly because I look like a fairy/pixie who lacks wings and could only give off pixie dust through her glitters.

Anyway, so the next night was our graduation ball at Taal Vista, and wow was the place pretty. It was our last time being together as a batch, and it was sad that we weren't complete, but I guess we still had fun. I'm actually at a loss for words since...well..I don't know what to say. Mixed emotions came upon me again that night and all that I could do was smile and take it all in, cause it's never gonna happen again. Another once in a lifetime moment.

The Nights of Silver Belle: Graduation

Ok, so it isn't really my night...but I just love saying "Silver Belle" so much, so just give in to it :)

We're done graduating...

YAY!!! finally...after 4 years of suffering from stress, sleepless nights, failed quizzes, we made it. WE ALL MADE IT THROUGH THE END!

Can you believe it? And it happened so fast that we didn't even realize that this was it. This was the end. We're never going back to Seton again. Never (well...except for visits). And all of it was just so overwhelming that it was hard to swallow it all at the same time. It was a total mix of emotions, and you wouldn't believe it  but we didn't cry. We didn't throw our hats in the air. We weren't given a speech by the president of the school. There was nothing that night but smiles and cameras. And it was nice. It was nice because, everyone knew that it wasn't really the end. It was never the end, it was the beginning. It was the door of more fun and adventure opening to us, and everyone was up to the challenge. That's why I love these 116 people + Ceriz. It's because here, we feel like we're a family...wait that's wrong, we ARE a family. And this family is something that I will cherish forever.

High school is something that you don't forget. It is here that you find out who you are, what you want to be. It's one of the most important part of you're life...so it stays in your life...it stays in your heart...especially the people that made it up.
